Launched in March 2023 and based in Thessaloniki and Nicosia, Metatopia is the first Metaverse Studio in Greece.

Ilias Chrysovergis
Co-Founder and CEO/CTO of Metatopia
He graduated with honors from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed postgraduate studies in Telecommunications and Signal Processing at Imperial College London. He has many years of experience in the industry and has already developed numerous XR applications. He explores the potential of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) technologies and creates immersive experiences and solutions for various industries. He also works with the National Center for Research and Technology Development as a Lead XR Software Engineer.
Byron Chrysovergis
Co-Founder and CIO of Metatopia
He holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), specializing in Industrial Management, and a Master of Science in Management of Technology from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He has worked as an Investment Associate at YES!Delft, the largest European tech startup accelerator, as an Operations Manager at OK!Thess, the Innovation hub of Northern Greece, and as a Technology Transfer and Innovation Manager at the Technology Transfer Office of AUTh. He is the Project Manager of the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at AUTh, Walk | AUth Innovation Accelerator.
